ATAS is an order-flow and volume-analysis platform. It sits in our “chart,
analyze, and trade” category because its core is reading order flow in
futures, stocks, and crypto. It describes itself as analytics software, not
a broker or exchange: market data comes from a provider or broker you
connect separately.
What ATAS is
ATAS comes in two versions. Classic ATAS runs on Windows. ATAS X, a newer
version that ATAS describes as 2.5x faster, runs on Windows and macOS but is
still in beta. Both versions are available on every plan, including the free
START plan.
ATAS is built around footprint charts, with 400+ footprint variations and
imbalance detection. Alongside them are Smart Tape, Smart DOM, a Bid/Ask
Tape, an MBO DOM, volume and market profiles, delta, Stacked Imbalance, and
Big Trades. ATAS says it offers 240+ indicators. A DOM heatmap with a 3D mode
is available on every plan but is in beta. On ULTRA, the MBO Bundle adds
Iceberg, Stop Runs, and Sweeps trackers; ATAS advertises it there only until
November 27, 2026. Options Board and Options Strategy Analyzer, both in beta,
are also ULTRA-only.
Futures data: delayed or real-time
This is the most important plan difference for futures traders. On START and
PLUS, traditional futures data is shown on a 15-minute delay, and ATAS says it
can’t be connected in real time on those plans. That applies to the €999 PLUS
lifetime licence too. Real-time traditional futures needs PRO or ULTRA, plus a
market-data subscription from a supported provider or broker.
ATAS lists these futures data feeds: CQG, CTS, dxFeed, Exante, Interactive
Brokers, IQFeed, MT5, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, TAI-PAN, Trading Technologies,
Quik, and Transaq. ATAS doesn’t publish what that data costs, so your total
depends on the provider and exchanges you choose. Which connections can also
route orders isn’t documented in the sources we checked, beyond Cross-Trading
(analysing E-mini while executing on Micro) on PRO and ULTRA.
Market Replay
Market Replay is included on PLUS, PRO, and ULTRA, but not on START. ATAS
says it replays historical sessions tick by tick, including full DOM data.
The sources we checked don’t say whether PLUS, which only gets delayed
futures data, can replay futures sessions.
Pricing and plan limits
All prices are in euros; ATAS doesn’t publish US-dollar prices. EU residents
are charged VAT at their country’s rate, and the pricing page doesn’t say
whether the listed prices include it.

between paid plans, and move from a 1, 3, 6, or 12-month plan to Lifetime,
with the value of your current plan applied as a discount. Lifetime licences
can be upgraded the same way.

Heatmap (beta) and ATAS X (beta) are included on every plan.
Free plan, trial, and refunds
START is free with no time limit, and no card is needed. The trial gives 14
days of a paid plan, once per user. It needs a card or PayPal, and when it
ends your account switches to the paid plan automatically unless you move
back to START first. If you pay straight away instead, you get 14 extra days.
The official pages don’t agree on what the trial covers. The futures page
says it gives “full access to all features and tools”; the pricing page
describes a trial of the paid plan you choose. Either way, real-time futures
during the trial still needs your own data subscription.
ATAS offers a 100% refund if you ask within 14 days of your first payment,
through support@atas.net. The pricing page doesn’t say whether renewal
payments can be refunded. You can pay by card, PayPal, or bank transfer; bank
transfers take 1–5 business days to process.
Classic ATAS needs Windows 10 or later, at least 8 GB of RAM, a graphics card
compatible with DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4.0 with 4 GB of memory, and a 30 Mbps
connection (100+ Mbps recommended). ATAS X runs on Windows 10 or later and
on supported Macs, including MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac mini models
from 2018 or later. On macOS, ATAS X is the only option, and it’s in beta.
Where ATAS falls short
Real-time traditional futures is gated behind PRO or ULTRA, and even the
lifetime PLUS licence stays on delayed futures data. Market data is always an
extra cost that ATAS doesn’t publish. Prices are in euros only. The trial
converts automatically, and two official pages describe it differently.
Several headline features are in beta, the MBO Bundle carries an end date,
and renewal refunds aren’t documented.
Who ATAS is best for
ATAS fits futures traders who want a dedicated order-flow platform, with
footprint charts, the DOM, and volume profiles, and who will use PRO or ULTRA
for real-time data. Its free plan suits traders who want to learn the tools
on delayed data first, and its lifetime licences suit traders who would
rather pay once.
Who should look elsewhere
Traders who mainly want an order-book heatmap can compare
Bookmap, and
those who want charting and execution in one futures platform can look at
NinjaTrader;
our Bookmap vs NinjaTrader
comparison covers how those two differ. Traders who want a broader
charting and analysis platform can look at
MotiveWave,
and those who mainly want replay practice can look at
FX Replay.

order flow guide.
